Dreams rarely come true, but George Sneed’s dream became true on November 25, 1957. Mr. Sneed founded Sneed Insurance along with his father-in-law, Thomas L. Robinson, also West Tennessee District Attorney. The company became successful in a short time as Sneed was a more than able president with great enthusiasm. With a steady increase in premium volume and the acquisition of several other insurance agencies Sneed Insurance was quickly well established in the Midsouth.

Not too many years later did Sneed get into the classic car insurance business. The National Street Rod Association (NSRA) which is based in Memphis is still one of the largest most active collectible car associations in the country with some 50,000 plus members. In 1973 the NSRA and Sneed joined hands in an exclusive relationship in which Sneed would promote and sponsor the NSRA. Hence, Sneed Insurance became the Exclusive Insurance Administrator for the National Street Rod Association.

From here Sneed began insuring not only street rods or modified vehicles but also classic cars and classic trucks. Depending on the year Sneed can cover all types of collector cars to include American made or foreign classic cars. Your classic car or street rod does have to be the extra car in the household.
